Fusion Public Relations Internship Program

Our internship program is designed to give college students the opportunity to work in the exciting and fast-paced profession of public relations.  We offer a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where exceptional professionals can grow into excellent PR practitioners.  By fully immersing interns into the everyday working environment of a public relations firm, they’ll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and truly learn the business of public relations.

The Fusion Intern experience incorporates all the responsibilities of our Account Coordinators, including:

• Media Relations – database management, research, media tracking, participate in meetings and media interviews, compile media kits and other outside vendor materials, prepare briefing documents for clients, assisting in special projects, etc.
• Client/Account Exposure – involved in daily account activities, client interfacing, conduct industry/competitor research, tradeshows and awards research, prepare meeting agendas, help draft client story ideas for press outreach, participate in creative brainstorming sessions, compose status reports, etc.
• Team/Account Support

Requirements:

We are looking for smart, savvy individuals who want to learn the skills needed for a successful PR career.  All applicants must have a strong interest in public relations and pursuing a career in the field.  Excellent communications skills – both written and verbal, good organization and research skills, pay close attention to details and practice accuracy and thoroughness, ability to work independently, as well as having a courteous phone manner and experience with Microsoft Office are a must.

Candidates seriously considered for this position will be enthusiastic, creative multi-taskers who are eager to learn, possess strong interpersonal skills, as well as demonstrate a keen interest in working with the media and performing well under deadlines.
