Wireless Week Makes More Changes…

By, Fusion Staff

We’re starting to feel like we’re watching “As The Media Turns.” My colleagues and I are sorry to hear that Brad Smith is retiring from his post as technology editor at Wireless Week. While we don’t doubt it’s a well-deserved break and opportunity to spend more time with his family, we’ll miss his columns, comments and critiques. Smith has been around telecom for a long time and is an incredible writer with a strong sense of the industry combined with who fits where and who is really offering something of value to the marketplace.

Reporting on technology, media, entertainment and general news for over 33 years, Brad has held positions in major publications such as The Denver Business Journal and The Denver Post. Brad has also served with the United Press International for 24 years, including eight years as Colorado state editor and Denver bureau manager. While with Wireless Week, he covered a variety of topics including Wi-Fi, WiMAX, CDMA technology, mobile devices and content. Brad’s final story will be published in the February issue of the magazine.
From Fusion, thanks Brad for the excellent reporting, thoughtful colums and always turning a keen ear to the latest and greatest technologies. Best of luck in your new endeavors!
